About Us

Mallet Supply was formed in 2025 to support Ray Haas’ longstanding goal of raising the standard of roofing in the United States using traditional metal folding techniques. Traditional techniques that rely on the principles of physics result in longer-lasting finished installations. It is our belief that the labor and risk that roofers put into an install is worthy of results that last a lifetime.

The vision is twofold:

First, provide the materials needed to support the work. While copper has been a reliable high-end option, U.S.-manufactured steel is not engineered to perform folded details in roofing and siding. This has forced U.S. installers to rely on band-aid fixes like caulk and butyl tape, which ultimately decrease the lifespan of our work. We need the right materials to make this happen.

Second, provide education. There are some motivated roofers across the country who have already been seeking out the knowledge and training of traditional techniques. As these superior techniques and materials gain visibility and popularity in the field, the next generation of tradespeople need accessible education options. We intend to provide this both online and in person.
